Combined Treatment of Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-Derived Cardiomyocytes and Endothelial Cells Regenerate the Infarcted Heart in Mice and Non-Human Primates
CONCLUSIONS: These results demonstrate the synergistic effect of combining iPSC-derived ECs and CMs for therapy in the postmyocardial infarction heart, enabling a promising strategy toward clinical translation.PMID:37732466 | DOI:10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.122.061736

AI diagnosis of heart sounds differentiated with super StethoScope
J Cardiol. 2023 Sep 19:S0914-5087(23)00229-0. doi: 10.1016/j.jjcc.2023.09.007. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn the aging global society, heart failure and valvular heart diseases, including aortic stenosis, are affecting millions of people and healthcare systems worldwide. Although the number of effective treatment options has increased in recent years, the lack of effective screening methods is provoking continued high mortality and rehospitalization rates. Appropriately, auscultation has been the primary option for screening such patients, however, challenges arise due to the variability in auscultation skills, the obje...

Transient left bundle branch block associated with very high coronary artery calcium: a case report
We present a case of very high CAC in a 64-year-old woman with hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and hyperlipidemia presenting with dyspnea. Initial electrocardiogram (ECG) demonstrated normal conduction with a heart rate of 76 beats/min, but new T-wave inversions in V1-V4 and a high-sensitivity troponin-I (hsTnI) value of 6 ng/L (normal < 6 ng/L). Repeat ECG in the emergency department showed normal sinus rhythm (heart rate of 80 beats/min); however, it subsequently demonstrated a left bundle branch block (LBBB) with a repeat hsTnI of 7 ng/L. Stress testing with pharmacologic single-photon emission computerized tomography...

Attitude of Emergency Medical Technicians Toward Electrocardiogram - Needs of Electrocardiogram Training Courses and Other Learning Opportunities
CONCLUSIONS: The EMTs experience was that their interpretation of an ECG could affect the prognosis of patients with ACS. Conversely, they lacked confidence reading ECGs, but were willing to attend ECG training courses. Therefore, efficient training programs need to be established to achieve a better prognosis for ACS patients.PMID:37704439 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-23-0469

Ultra-High-Resolution Electrocardiography Enables Earlier Detection of Transmural and Subendocardial Myocardial Ischemia Compared to Conventional Electrocardiography
In conclusion, UHR ECG enabled earlier detection of transmural MIS compared to C ECG. PSD in the HF channel of UHR ECG demonstrated greater sensitivity in the settings of subendocardial ischemia.PMID:37685333 | DOI:10.3390/diagnostics13172795
