Left Atrial Strain Derived From Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Can Predict Outcomes of Patients With Acute Myocarditis
CONCLUSION: LA reservoir and conduit strains derived from CMR are independent predictors of adverse clinical outcomes in patients with acute myocarditis.PMID:37271205 | PMC:PMC10248361 | DOI:10.3348/kjr.2022.0898

Incremental value of enhanced plaque length for identifying intracranial atherosclerotic culprit plaques: a high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging study
ConclusionsEnhanced length longer than the plaque length and grade II enhancement were independently associated with culprit plaques. The combination of the enhanced plaque features resulted in better culprit plaque identification.

MRI for collateral assessment pre-thrombectomy and association with outcome: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionIn stroke patients treated with thrombectomy, good pre-treatment collaterals assessed using MRI are associated with double the rate of functional independence. However, we found evidence that relevant MR methods are heterogenous and under-reported. Greater standardization and clinical validation of MRI for collateral evaluation pre-thrombectomy are required.

High-resolution vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging in intracranial vasculopathies: an experience from eastern India
CONCLUSION: Adjunctive use of HR-IVWI, to clinical and luminal assessment, can significantly improve diagnostic accuracy during evaluation of intracranial vasculopathies, with its greatest utility in diagnosing in ICAD, CNS angiitis and dissection.ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE: HR-IVWI allows clearer etiological distinction of intracranial vasculopathies having therapeutic and prognostic implications.PMID:37066831 | DOI:10.1259/bjr.20230114

Influence of the area of the aqueduct and region of interest on quantification of stroke volume in healthy volunteers using phase-contrast cine magnetic resonance imaging
CONCLUSION: To establish reliable reference values for the SV in future studies, a variable ROI should be considered.PMID:37023028 | DOI:10.1177/02841851221125916

Intracranial vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging features of infectious vasculitis
Vasculitis is a complication of several infectious diseases affecting the central nervous system, which may result in ischemic and/or hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack, and aneurysm formation. The infectious agent may directly infect the endothelium, causing vasculitis, or indirectly affect the vessel wall through an immunological mechanism. The clinical manifestations of these complications usually overlap with those of non-infectious vascular diseases, making diagnosis challenging.
