Susceptibility-weighted imaging predicts infarct size and early-stage clinical prognosis in acute ischemic stroke
AbstractSusceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) is a non-invasive technique that can reveal venous structures and iron in the brain. This retrospective study evaluated SWI, relative to other imaging techniques, for determining cerebral infarct size and early-stage clinical prognosis in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Thrombolytic Therapy in Severe Cardioembolic Stroke After Reversal of Dabigatran with Idarucizumab: Case Report and Literature Review
Whether idarucizumab, an antidote of dabigatran, can be used effectively and safely before thrombolytic therapy with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) in patients with stroke undergoing treatment with dabigatran remains unknown. We herein describe a 57-year-old man who developed severe cardioembolic stroke with a National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 22 in the left middle cerebral artery territory while undergoing treatment with dabigatran for nonvalvular atrial fibrillation and who was treated with rt-PA after the reversal of dabigatran with idarucizumab.

Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score-Time Score Predicts Outcome after Endovascular Therapy in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Retrospective Single-Center Study
Clinical outcomes after successful endovascular therapy in patients with acute ischemic stroke are associated with several factors including onset-to-reperfusion time (ORT), the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, and the Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS). The NIHSS-time score, calculated as follows: [NIHSS score]  × [onset-to-treatment time (h)] or [NIHSS score] × [ORT (h)], has been reported to predict clinical outcomes after intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator therapy and endovascular therapy for acute stroke.
