The effect of transcranial direct current stimulation of pharyngeal motor cortex on swallowing function in patients with chronic dysphagia after stroke: A retrospective cohort study
About 11% to 13% of patients with acute dysphagia induced by stroke remain chronic dysphagia 6 months after stroke which usually leads to many severe complications and poor quality of life. ConclusionsThere were 7 main symptom similarity-based subgroups in ischemic stroke patients, and their specific characteristics were obvious. The main syndromes were wind phlegm pattern and hyperactivity of Gan yang pattern.
