Acute Abdominal Pain in Adults: Evaluation and Diagnosis
Am Fam Physician. 2023 Jun;107(6):585-596.ABSTRACTAcute abdominal pain, defined as nontraumatic abdominal pain lasting fewer than seven days, is a common presenting concern with a broad differential diagnosis. The most common causes are gastroenteritis and nonspecific abdominal pain, followed by cholelithiasis, urolithiasis, diverticulitis, and appendicitis. Comprehensive analysis of current epidemiology, clinical features and Prognostic Factors of puerperal endometritis: A retrospective cohort analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Endometritis is still the main cause of puerperal fever. Women requiring curettage typically presented with abdominal pain and foul-smelling lochia, an ultrasound image compatible with RPOC and fever in the first 14 days postpartum. Viruses, Vol. 15, Pages 1231: Gastrointestinal Manifestations of SARS-CoV-2: Transmission, Pathogenesis, Immunomodulation, Microflora Dysbiosis, and Clinical Implications
Hongjie Zhang The clinical manifestation of COVID-19, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), in the respiratory system of humans is widely recognized. Nevertheless, the pathophysiological mechanisms linking these GI symptoms to SARS-CoV-2 infecti...
