Implementing and evaluating a diversity, equity, and inclusion resident recruitment strategy
CONCLUSION: A diverse residency program benefits patients, trainees, and the larger healthcare organization. In addition, incorporating DEI into resident recruitment is required by the new ASHP Accreditation Standard for postgraduate pharmacy residency programs effective July 1, 2023. Evaluation of our recruitment efforts demonstrated targeted recruitment as an effective strategy to increase the diversity of a residency program's applicants. There may be additional barriers not addressed by our interventions to be further explored.PMID:37556119 | DOI:10.1093/ajhp/zxad179

Development of a One-minute Educational Video for Eye-drop Instillation and Changes in Instillation Behavior after Watching the Video
Yakugaku Zasshi. 2023;143(8):655-662. doi: 10.1248/yakushi.23-00010.ABSTRACTWe created a one-minute video titled "a simple method of eye-drop instillation" (video) for online instillation guidance, to compare the instillation method before and after study participants watch the video and verify the usefulness of watching the video. Moreover, we prepared a document questionnaire to investigate instillation habits and clarify instillation behavior. Study participants were randomly recruited from among students and faculty members via a poster posted at Tokushima Bunri University. The instillation behavior of the study partic...
