Summary of Korean Asthma Guideline
Tuberc Respir Dis (Seoul). 2023 May 30. doi: 10.4046/trd.2023.0052. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAsthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disease characterized by variable airflow obstruction. Korean Asthma Study Group in Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases has updated Korean Asthma Guideline. This review summarized the updated Korean Asthma Guideline. Asthma prevalence is increasing worldwide and is also increasing in Korea. Variable airflow obstruction can be confirmed by bronchodilator response or other tests and should be established prior to the controller medication. A low-dose inhaled corticoster...

Tranaslated articlePrimary Cutaneous Lymphoma Registry of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV): Data for the First 5 Years
CONCLUSION: The characteristics of cutaneous lymphomas in Spain are similar to those reported for other series. The large size of the RELCP registry at 5 years has allowed us to give more precise descriptive statistics than in the first year. This registry facilitates the clinical research of the AEDV's lymphoma interest group, which has already published articles based on the RELCP data.PMID:36848951 | DOI:10.1016/j.ad.2022.11.013

Guideline for the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of cutaneous lupus erythematosus
J Autoimmun. 2021 Aug 4;123:102707. doi: 10.1016/j.jaut.2021.102707. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTCutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) is an inflammatory, autoimmune disease encompassing a broad spectrum of subtypes including acute, subacute, chronic and intermittent CLE. Among these, chronic CLE can be further classified into several subclasses of lupus erythematosus (LE) such as discoid LE, verrucous LE, LE profundus, chilblain LE and Blaschko linear LE. To provide all dermatologists and rheumatologists with a practical guideline for the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of CLE, this evidence- and consensus-b...

Revised Korean Cough Guidelines, 2020: Recommendations and Summary statements
This article highlights the recommendations and summary of the revised Korean cough guidelines. It includes a revised algorithm for the evaluation of acute, subacute, and chronic cough. For chronic cough, upper airway cough syndrome (UACS), cough variant asthma (CVA), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) should be considered in the differential diagnoses. If UACS is suspected, first-generation antihistamines and nasal decongestants can be used empirically. In cases with CVA, inhaled corticosteroids are recommended to improve the cough. In patients with suspected chronic cough due to symptomatic GERD, proton pump inhi...

Treatment of Refractory Convulsive Status Epilepticus: A Comprehensive Review by the American Epilepsy Society Treatments Committee.
CONCLUSIONS: Mostly insufficient evidence exists on the efficacy of stopping clinical CRSE using brivaracetam, lacosamide, LEV, valproate, ketamine, MDZ, PTB, and PRO either as the last ASM or compared to others of these drugs. Adrenocorticotropic hormone, IVIg, corticosteroids, magnesium sulfate, and pyridoxine have been used in special situations but have not been studied for CRSE. For the treatment of established convulsive SE (ie, not RSE), LEV, VPA, and fosphenytoin are likely equally effective, but whether this is also true for CRSE is unknown. Triple-masked, randomized controlled trials are needed to compare the eff...
