Identification of subgroups in the Danish population for targeted human papillomavirus vaccination efforts
CONCLUSION: To increase the HPV vaccination uptake, we recommend vaccination efforts targeting girls living without any of their parents, girls attending special need education, immigrants, and girls who are not DTaP-IPV revaccinated. When targeting immigrants, the effort should focus on disseminating sufficient and understandable information about the Danish childhood vaccination program to the parents.PMID:37142460 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2023.04.060

What do university students know about cervical cancer and HPV vaccine?
CONCLUSIONS: Medical students' knowledge about cervical cancer and vaccination was more accurate than that of non-medical students. We expect that the public will have an even lower level of knowledge. We recommend including necessary information about the vaccine in schools, colleges, and community education programs.PMID:35647856 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202205_28870

Impact of one and two human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine doses on community-level HPV prevalence in South African adolescent girls: study protocol and rationale for a pragmatic before-after design
BMJ Open. 2022 Feb 10;12(2):e059968. doi: 10.1136/bmjopen-2021-059968.ABSTRACTINTRODUCTION: Vaccines against human papillomavirus (HPV) are the key to controlling cervical cancer in low/middle-income countries (LMICs) where incidence is highest, but there have been limited data from these settings on programme impact on HPV prevalence, and none in a population with endemic HIV infection. Furthermore, for many LMICs, the currently recommended two-dose schedule is difficult to deliver at scale, so there is mounting interest in a single-dose schedule.METHODS AND ANALYSIS: The Human Papillomavirus One and Two-Dose Population E...

'I trust them because my mum trusts them': Exploring the role of trust in HPV vaccination decision-making among adolescent girls and their mothers in France
Vaccine. 2022 Jan 25:S0264-410X(22)00046-9. doi: 10.1016/j.vaccine.2022.01.028. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe success of vaccination programmes relies on high uptake and acceptance of vaccines, which is in part influenced by public trust in vaccines, providers, policy-makers and information. France is one of the countries in the world with the lowest confidence in vaccination, with parents expressing particular concerns about the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. This qualitative study explored the role of trust in HPV vaccination decision-making among mothers and adolescent girls in France. Semi-structured interview...
