A Case of Ischemic Stroke With Congenital Protein C Deficiency and Carotid Web Successfully Treated by Anticoagulant and Carotid Stenting
Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first report in which an immediate thrombus formation on the carotid web was observed in a patient with congenital protein C deficiency. In a case of acute ischemic stroke with carotid web, especially when congenital coagulopathy such as protein C deficiency is suspected, careful follow-up with ultrasound imaging should be performed.

An overlooked cause in a patient with recurrent ischemic stroke: A case report

Treatment and imaging of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis: current perspectives and future directions
ConclusionsCurrently, aggressive medical management remains the standard of care for patients with ICAS. Further research is needed to identify high‐risk subgroups and to develop more effective treatments for ICAS patients. In this comprehensive review, we give an update on treatment options for intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis. Also, conventional and novel imaging modalities available for the evaluation of intracranial atherosclerotic plaques and stenosis will be discussed.

Vitreous Hemorrhage as a Complication of IV-tPA Therapy in a Patient with Acute Stroke (P4.227)
CONCLUSIONS: To our knowledge, this is the first case report of vitreous hemorrhage following acute stroke therapy with IV-tPA. This underscores the risk of intraocular hemorrhage in patients with retinal neovascularization that could occur with other retinal vascular disorders such as diabetic retinopathy.
