Association of multiple infarctions and ICAS with outcomes of minor stroke and TIA
Conclusions: The presence of multiple infarctions and ICAS were both associated with an increased risk of 90-day ischemic stroke in patients with minor stroke or TIA, while the presence of both imaging features had a combined effect. ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT00979589.

Acute Ischemic Stroke as a Presenting Feature of Multiple Myeloma (P3.279)
Conclusions:Stroke is a leading and preventable cause of disability in the US adult population. The majority of strokes are due to atherosclerotic vascular or cardioembolic disease. Understanding the diagnostic work up of stroke and recognizing rare etiologies like MM is important for stroke prevention. Safety of percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with acute ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack and acute coronary syndrome
Conclusions The primary and secondary end points were not enhanced in patients undergoing PCI. Therefore PCI is safe in patients with stroke/TIA and concomitant ACS.

Dual antiplatelet therapy in stroke and ICAS: Subgroup analysis of CHANCE
Conclusions: The results indicated higher rate of recurrent stroke in minor stroke or high-risk TIA patients with ICAS than in those without. However, there was no significant difference in the response to the 2 antiplatelet therapies between patients with and without ICAS in the CHANCE trial. Classification of evidence: This study provides Class II evidence that for patients with acute minor stroke or TIA with and without ICAS identified by MRA, clopidogrel plus aspirin is not significantly different than aspirin alone in preventing recurrent stroke.

A Markov model to compare the long-term effect of aspirin, clopidogrel and clopidogrel plus aspirin on prevention of recurrent ischemic stroke due to intracranial artery stenosis
Conclusion: To prevent recurrent stroke in patients with intracranial artery stenosis, especially in those patients with a history of TIA or coronary artery disease, medical therapy with clopidogrel plus aspirin should be considered in preference to aspirin alone.

E-004 Focal intracranial vasculopathy as a manifestation of COVID-19-associated acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionTo our knowledge, our case is the first to illustrate the potential for COVID-19 infection to present as a focal intracranial vasculopathy in an otherwise healthy young-patient, resulting in acute ischemic stroke without an underlying hypercoagulable state. Recurrent Intra-Luminal Aortic Thrombus And Ischemic Stroke In A Patient With Essential Thrombocythemia (P6.262)
CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights the importance of recognizing essential thrombocythemia as an entity that can lead to devastating complications, including acute coronary syndrome and either arterial and venous thrombosis. Early recognition and effective cytoreductive therapy are cornerstones to the prevention of recurrent embolism. Intracranial Fibromuscular Dysplasia in a Middle-Aged Woman with Recurrent Ischemic Stroke (P4.388)
Conclusions: FMD is a rare disease and has very rarely been described in the intracranial arteries. This case illustrates the natural history and progression of FMD in this patient and elucidates the limited treatment options for preventing disease progression and secondary complications. FMD most predominantly affects younger to middle-aged females and if the disease process goes unrecognized it can have devastating consequences. Hyperacute Carotid Stenting for Acute Ischemic Stroke After Systemic Thrombolysis with IV rt-PA (P1.282)

Predictors and Clinical Impact of Delayed Stent Thrombosis after Thrombectomy for Acute Stroke with Tandem Lesions INTERVENTIONAL
CONCLUSIONS: We observed a non-negligible rate of delayed stent thrombosis with significant negative impact on clinical outcome. Future studies should systematically measure and report stent patency rates.
