Conclusions— PPIs of interest did not increase the rate of ischemic stroke among clopidogrel users when compared with pantoprazole, a PPI thought to be devoid of the potential to interact with clopidogrel.

Conclusions— The SAMMPRIS results do not provide evidence to support the use of PTAS using the Wingspan stent system compared with medical treatment in any examined subpopulation of patients with symptomatic intracranial stenosis, including those with qualifying event hypoperfusion symptoms. Conflicting data exist as to whether proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) diminish the efficacy of clopidogrel. We, therefore, assessed the effect of concomitant PPI use in ischemic stroke (IS) patients receiving clopidogrel.

Does proton pump inhibitor reduce the antiaggregant efficacy of aspirin in ischemic stroke?
CONCLUSION: The combination of 30 mg lansoprazole and 100 mg aspirin does not cause a decrease in antiaggregant activity in the early period, but chronic use was not evaluated in this study. Patients with AR may benefit from an increase in the dose of aspirin.PMID:36474449
