Teleneurocritical Care for Patients with Large Vessel Occlusive Ischemic Stroke Treated by Thrombectomy
ConclusionsTeleneurocritical care allows for equivalent favorable functional outcomes compared with in-person neurocritical care for patients with acute large vessel ischemic stroke receiving thrombectomy. The standardized protocols used by TNCC in this study, specifically the comprehensive 24/7 treatment of patients in the intensive care unit for the length of their stay, may be relevant for other health systems with limited in-person resources; however, additional study is required.

Functional Recovery in Patients with Acute Stroke and Pre-Existing Disability: A Natural History Study
One million strokes occur in the United States every year, with as many as 1 in 3 occurring among patients with a pre-existing disability.1,2 Though they are a significant portion of the stroke population, such patients are often excluded from interventional trials.3-5 As a result, acute ischemic stroke patients with pre-morbid disability are often omitted from clinical practice treatment guidelines, such as for mechanical thrombectomy (MT). In the latest American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, MT is only indicated for patients with no pre-stroke disability, as defined by a modified Rankin scale (mRS) score of 0-1.

Comparison of Stroke Risk Factors Between Symptomatic and Asymptomatic Patients in a North American Moyamoya Disease Cohort
Conclusions: No significant differences in the prevalence of stroke risk factors between MMD cohorts was found, corroborating evidence provided in a recent Japanese-based study. There were no apparent associations between s troke risk factors and interval cerebrovascular events in an asymptomatic group of MMD patients.

Guillain-Barre syndrome in Mexico: clinical features and validation of Brighton Collaboration Group criteria
CONCLUSION: GBS is a frequent autoimmune neuropathy that has been associated with preceding infections and with vaccination campaigns. For SARS-CoV-2 vaccination campaign in Mexico, validation of Brighton Criteria is necessary.
