Impact of COVID-19 on the Volume of Acute Stroke Admissions: A Nationwide Survey in Japan
In conclusion, the acute stroke admission volume declined by 2.51% in 2020 relative to 2019 in Japan, especially during the months of high infection, and in highly infected prefectures. Acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke in two covid-19 patients.
We report two cases with coincident presentation of COVID-19 and cerebrovascular accident. Further studies are needed for a comprehensive understanding of the neurological pathology of COVID-19 and its effects on the nervous system, but stroke teams should be wary of the fact that COVID-19 patients can present with cerebrovascular accidents.

Impact of coronavirus disease 2019 on time delay and functional outcome of mechanical thrombectomy in Tokyo, Japan
Several papers from around the world have reported that outbreaks of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have led to the following time delays associated with endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS): onset-to-door (O2D) time,1,2 door-to-puncture (D2P) time and door-to-recanalization time.3 Several speculative factors may explain these delays, such as a collapse of emergency services focused on patients with COVID-192 and patients ’ fear of exposure to COVID-19 through interactions within the health-care system.

Potential adverse events in Japanese women who received tozinameran (BNT162b2, Pfizer-BioNTech)
AbstractReports of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) following the administration of coronavirus vaccines have raised concerns regarding their safety. Although no regulatory authority has recognized ICH as an adverse event associated with tozinameran (BNT162b2, Pfizer-BioNTech), fatal and non-fatal cases have been reported. In Japan, 10 fatal cases (five men and women) have been reported to date.
