Phytochemical content, antioxidant properties, and antibacterial activities of < em > Centella asiatica < /em > L
Nat Prod Res. 2023 Sep 14:1-6. doi: 10.1080/14786419.2023.2258439. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe present study is an evaluation of Centella asiatica ethanolic extract in terms of total phenolic content, total flavonoids, total flavonols, anthocyanin, antioxidants, and antibacterial activities. Centella asiatica plants were collected from Guilan province, Iran. High-performance liquid chromatography-Diode array detector analysis demonstrated that the ethanolic extract of C. asiatica contained phenolic substances such as sinapic acid, catechin, quercetin, p-coumaric acid, hesperidin, eugenol, and hesperetin. The predomin...

Phytochemicals, essential oil composition and antioxidant activity of Astragalus spp., Phlomis olivieri and Daphne mucronata in habitats of central Iran
This study evaluated secondary metabolites, essential oil compositions, and antioxidant activity in four medicinal plants that originated in Isfahan rangelands. The species were Astragalus verus, Astragalus adscendens, Daphne mucronata, and Phlomis olivieri. Thirty-two genotypes of these species were evaluated for different biochemical traits. Based on the evaluation of EO compounds, GC-MS analysis revealed the total number of identified compounds. These compounds were 25, 22, 12, and 22 for A. adscendens, A. verus, D. mucronata, and P. olivieri, respectively. The dominant compounds were phthalate (59.88%) in A. adscendens...

Formulation and Evaluation of the Anti-inflammatory, Anti-oxidative, and Anti-remodelling Effects of the Niosomal Myrtenol on the Lungs of Asthmatic Rats
Iran J Allergy Asthma Immunol. 2023 Jun 16;22(3):265-280. doi: 10.18502/ijaai.v22i3.13054.ABSTRACTAsthma is a common chronic allergic disease that affects a significant percentage of the world's population. Niosomes are nanoparticles consisting of non-ionic surfactants that can be used for drug delivery. This research was designed to investigate the impacts of inhalation of simple and niosomal forms of myrtenol against adverse consequences of asthma in rats. Asthma induction was performed via injection of ovalbumin, followed by its inhalation. Niosomes were created by a heating protocol, and their physicochemical features ...
