Related Factors of Cerebral Hemorrhage after Cerebral Infarction and the Effect of Atorvastatin Combined with Intensive Nursing Care
CONCLUSION: Patients with hypertension, large infarction lesions, high NIHSS score at admission, atrial fibrillation, and small artery occlusion cerebral infarction can increase the risk of bleeding transformation in patients with cerebral infarction. For patients with bleeding transformation, atorvastatin calcium tablets combined with early intensive nursing intervention has a certain value for improving the prognosis of patients.PMID:35959354 | PMC:PMC9357761 | DOI:10.1155/2022/9546006

Design, methods and baseline characteristics of the Beijing Hospital Atherosclerosis Study: a prospective dynamic cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: This study has successfully initiated an investigation into the roles of new biosignatures in predicting CAD among Chinese Han patients undergoing CAG. To the best of our knowledge, this cohort is the first study systematically focusing on the association of lifestyle biomarkers and biological age with CAD risk. Findings from this study will provide biomarkers to discriminate the presence of CAD and to predict subsequent cardiovascular events.PMID:35965802 | PMC:PMC9372652 | DOI:10.21037/atm-22-2834

Projected Impact of Treatment Intensification with Satin, Ezetimibe, and Statin plus Ezetimibe Fixed-Dose Combination on MACE Across Six Countries
CONCLUSION: The 2019 ESC/EAS guideline-based treatment intensification with strategies based on statin, ezetimibe, and statin plus ezetimibe FDC is estimated to result in a substantial population-level benefit in terms of MACE averted compared to BAU.PMID:36134461 | DOI:10.1093/eurjpc/zwac214

Natural products of traditional Chinese medicine treat atherosclerosis by regulating inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways
This study aimed to update and summarize progress in understanding how natural medicines treat AS via inflammatory and oxidative stress-related signaling pathways. We also planned to create an information base for the development of novel drugs for future AS treatment.PMID:36249778 | PMC:PMC9563010 | DOI:10.3389/fphar.2022.997598

Development and validation of dynamic models to predict postdischarge mortality risk in patients with acute myocardial infarction: results from China Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry
Conclusions We established dynamic risk prediction models incorporating adverse event and medications. The nomograms may be useful instruments to help prospective risk assessment and management of AMI. Trial registration number NCT01874691.

Development and validation of predictive model based on deep learning method for classification of dyslipidemia in Chinese medicine
ConclusionsThis study successfully developed a well-performing classification prediction model for dyslipidemia with MOPS, transforming the syndrome diagnosis problem in TCM into a prediction and classification problem in artificial intelligence. Patients with dyslipidemia of MOPS can be accurately recognized through limited information from patients. We also screened out significant diagnostic factors for composing diagnostic rules of dyslipidemia with MOPS. The study is an avant-garde attempt at introducing the deep-learning method into the research of TCM, which provides a useful reference for the extension of deep lear...

Statins influence the relationship between ATP-binding cassette A1 membrane transporter-mediated cholesterol efflux capacity and coronary atherosclerosis in rheumatoid arthritis
CONCLUSION: In patients with RA, higher ABCA1-CEC may reflect a proatherogenic state, associated with enhanced cardiovascular risk. Statin use may unmask the protective impact of ABCA1-mediated cholesterol efflux on plaque formation, progression and cardiovascular risk.PMID:37484708 | PMC:PMC10362327 | DOI:10.1016/j.jtauto.2023.100206

Statins may Decrease Aneurysm wall Enhancement of Unruptured Fusiform Intracranial Aneurysms: A high-resolution 3T MRI Study
AbstractInflammation plays an integral role in the formation, growth, and progression to rupture of unruptured intracranial aneurysms. Aneurysm wall enhancement (AWE) in high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR-MRI) has emerged as a surrogate biomarker of vessel wall inflammation and unruptured intracranial aneurysm instability. We investigated the correlation between anti-inflammatory drug use and three-dimensional AWE of fusiform intracranial aneurysms (FIAs). We retrospectively analyzed consecutive patients with FIAs in our database who underwent 3T HR-MRI at three Chinese centers. FIAs were classified as fusiform...
