Effect and mechanism of pirfenidone combined with 2-methoxy-estradiol perfusion through portal vein on hepatic artery hypoxia-induced hepatic fibrosis
CONCLUSIONS: The portal vein perfusion of PFD significantly reduced the hepatic artery hypoxia-induced fibrosis degree in treated rats by down-regulating the expression of HIF-1α, α-SMA, MMP2, TGF-β1, MCP-1, and Collagen I, as well as up-regulating the TIMP-1 expression and Smad7 protein level. Combined 2-ME2 infusion was not better than PFD alone.PMID:36610261 | DOI:10.1016/j.advms.2022.12.001

< em > Bushen Huoxue Fang < /em > improves recurrent miscarriage in mice by down-regulating the JAK2/STAT3 pathway
CONCLUSION: BSHXF can improve the prethrombotic state and inhibit cell apoptosis by downregulating the JAK2/STAT3 pathway to increase the pregnancy rate in mouse models of RSA.PMID:36946047 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2023.02.15

Trans-ethnic Mendelian randomization study of systemic lupus erythematosus and common female hormone-dependent malignancies
CONCLUSION: This finding suggests a possible causal effect of SLE on the risk of overall endometrial cancer and breast cancer in European and East Asian populations, respectively, by MR analysis, which compensates for inherent limitations of observational research.PMID:37027287 | DOI:10.1097/CM9.0000000000002555

Neuroprotective effects of goji berry (Lycium barbarum L.) polysaccharides on depression-like behavior in ovariectomized rats: behavioral and biochemical evidence
CONCLUSION: This is the first study to show the antidepressant effect of LBP. Although additional research is needed, LBP may be considered a potential new antidepressant.PMID:37654035
