Effect of acupuncture on menopausal hot flushes and serum hormone levels: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Acupuncture may not decrease hot flush frequency, but yet appears to have similar effects on serum hormone levels as HT, that is, increased E2 and decreased FSH and LH. Considering that no firm conclusions could be drawn due to the low quality and limited number of included trials included, further high-quality RCTs need to be conducted.PMID:34894774 | DOI:10.1177/09645284211056655

Estradiol inhibits differentiation of mouse macrophage into a pro-inflammatory phenotype by upregulating the IRE1 < em > α < /em > -XBP1 signaling axis
CONCLUSION: Estrogen can inhibit the differentiation of murine macrophages into a pro-inflammatory phenotype by up-regulating the IRE1α-XBP-1 signaling axis, thereby producing an inhibitory effect on inflammatory response.PMID:35426809 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2022.03.17

Longitudinal analysis of the impact of oral contraceptive use on the gut microbiome
Conclusion. Our study provides the first piece of evidence supporting the association between exogenous and endogenous sex hormones and gut microbiome composition and function.PMID:35452382 | DOI:10.1099/jmm.0.001512

Effects of continuous-combined oral drospirenone- estradiol on blood pressure, body weight & amp; lipid profile in early menopausal women
CONCLUSIONS: Continuous long-term therapy with DRSP 2 mg/E2 1 mg significantly lowered 24 h systolic and diastolic BPs and reduced the risk of cardiovascular disease in early menopausal women with stage 1 hypertension. Timely initiated menopausal hormone therapy can have beneficial effects on BP and can reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease in menopausal women.PMID:35662091 | DOI:10.4103/ijmr.IJMR_478_20
