CT Perfusion Imaging in the Selection of Acute Stroke Patients to Undergo Emergent Carotid Endarterectomy
Severe acute stroke patients with critical carotid stenosis or occlusion without intracranial thrombus typically do not undergo emergent carotid thromboendarterectomy (CEA) because of the risk of reperfusion-related intracranial hemorrhage. Past studies have not consistently demonstrated benefit of early operative intervention. Cerebral computed tomography (CT), cervical and cerebral CT angiography (CTA), and cerebral CT perfusion (CTP) imaging may identify a subset of acute stroke patients without intracranial thrombus who may benefit from emergent CEA.

Cryptogenic Stroke Following Abdominal Free Flap Breast Reconstruction Surgery
Conclusion Surgeons and cardiologists should be aware of this cerebrovascular complication secondary to PFO following major reconstructive surgery such as microvascular breast reconstruction. It also serves to challenge microvascular surgeons to reconsider routine use of central venous pressure lines in free flap patients who might otherwise have good peripheral vessels for postoperative fluids and antibiotic administration.

Multimodality imaging of carotid web: A case report and literature review
CONCLUSIONS: carotid web is an under-recognized cause of ischemic stroke. It is easy to be missed or misdiagnosed. Carotid revascularization can effectively prevent recurrent stroke for patients with symptomatic carotid web. A New Aortic Arch Inclusion Technique With Frozen Elephant Trunk for Type A Aortic Dissection
Conclusions: The aortic arch inclusion technique with FET provides a safe alternative for TAAD treatment, with satisfactory operative results. Short-term follow-up results are encouraging, and long-term outcomes need further evaluation.

Mechanical Embolectomy for Superior Cerebellar Artery Embolism
This article describes the admission of a 69-year-old man with acute superior cerebellar artery embolization. Compared with the imaging data of the patient 2 weeks before the onset of the disease, cerebral angiography revealed that there was a mural thrombus covering the opening of the superior cerebellar artery. it is also a bold attempt for this patient to undergo mechanical thrombectomy. The patient finally recovered well from neurological symptoms. This case report details the causes of the rare mural thrombosis leading to superior cerebellar artery embolism, and also has a new understanding of arterial embolism in acute stroke.

Custom-Made Candy-Plug for Distal False Lumen Occlusion in Aortic Dissection: International Experience
