E-067 Endovascular Approach in the Repair of the Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm Including Those with Wide Neck and Complex in Morphology-A Case Series
ConclusionsEndovascular repair of the MCA aneurysm inclosing those with wide neck and complex are not only safe and feasible, but associated with high long-term functional outcome. Therefore, endovascular options must be offered to patients prior to surgical clipping of a MCA aneurysm. Further study may be warranted.DisclosuresY. Lodi: None. V. Reddy: None.

E-084 Long-Term Clinical Outcomes in Patients with Acute Ischemic Strokes Treated with Mechanical Thrombectomy who had Moderate or Moderate Severe Disability at 90 Days
ConclusionAmong patients with AIS treated with MT who had moderate or moderate severe disability at 90 days, a considerable minority (30%) demonstrated a reduction in long-term disability with continued outpatient rehabilitation.DisclosuresJ. Endovascular stroke therapy with the Aperio thrombectomy device
Conclusions The Aperio thrombectomy device seems to be an effective and adequately safe tool for reopening occluded cerebral arteries in the setting of acute stroke.

Successful outcome after endovascular thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke with basis on perfusion-diffusion mismatch after 24 h of symptoms onset.
CONCLUSIONS: We report the case of a successful thrombolytic therapy following AIS performed more than 24 h after the initial symptoms based on the presence of a perfusion-diffusion mismatch. This report is expected to stimulate the development of future prospective studies with special focus on the role of perfusion-diffusion mismatch in patient selection for treatment of AIS, especially in those presenting outside the traditional time window. Body habitus, serum albumin, and the outcomes after craniotomy for tumor: a National Surgical Quality Improvement Program analysis.
CONCLUSIONS In this National Surgical Quality Improvement Program analysis evaluating patients who underwent craniotomy for tumor, body habitus was not associated with differential mortality or neurological complications. However, obese patients had increased odds of a major perioperative complication, primarily due to higher rates of venous thromboembolic events and surgical site infections. Preoperative hypoalbuminemia was associated with increased odds of mortality and a nonroutine hospital discharge, suggesting that serum albumin may have utility in stratifying risk preoperatively in patients undergoing craniotomy. ...

Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke with cerebral microbleeds
Conclusions Patients with CMBs are not at increased risk for HT and mortality following mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke. Excluding such patients from mechanical thrombectomy is unwarranted. The risk of HT in patients with ≥5 CMBs requires further study.

Time to recanalisation in patients with cerebral venous thrombosis under anticoagulation therapy
Conclusions We found that recanalisation occurs over time, until month 11. Complete recanalisation may influence functional outcome.

Multicenter clinical experience in over 125 patients with the Penumbra Separator 3D for mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke
Conclusions The results suggest that the Separator 3D enables safe and effective revascularization of occluded large arteries in acute stroke intervention, leading to a high rate of functional independence at 90 days.

Retrograde access to the posterior inferior cerebellar artery in balloon-assisted coiling of posterior inferior cerebellar artery aneurysms
Conclusions Retrograde access to the PICA to perform balloon-assisted coil embolization of proximal PICA aneurysms with or without additional stenting after coiling is safe and effective. Hypoplastic V4 segment of the contralateral vertebral artery is not a contraindication.
