Interventional Radiology Training Using a Dynamic Medical Immersive Training Environment  (DynaMITE)
Radiology and interventional radiology training has evolved in the last  few decades, facilitated by advances in technology [1]. Increasing availability of web-based educational materials, both free and subscription-based, has allowed access to high-quality educational content [2]. In the past few years, there has been a resurgence in the field of immersive and virtu al reality (VR), driven by the entertainment and video game industries. Medical specialties are learning how to apply these immersive technologies for surgical skills training, stroke rehabilitation [3], and management of obstetrical emergencies [4], for example.

Effects of a web-based stroke education program on recurrence prevention behaviors among stroke patients: a pilot study
The effectiveness of methods to prevent stroke recurrence and of education focusing on learners’ needs has not been fully explored. The participants were 36 patients with a clinical diagnosis of ischemic stroke within 12 months post-stroke and their primary caregivers. The participants were randomly assigned to either an experimental or a control group. The primary measures included blood chemistry, self-reported health beha...

Pain: a content review of undergraduate pre-registration nurse education in the United Kingdom
Pain is a global health issue with poor assessment and management of pain associated with serious disability and detrimental socio economic consequences. Pain is also a closely associated symptom of the three major causes of death in the developed world; Coronary Heart Disease, Stroke and Cancer. There is a significant body of work which indicates that current nursing practice has failed to address pain as a priority, resulting in poor practice and unnecessary patient suffering.Additionally nurse education appears to lack focus or emphasis on the importance of pain assessment and its management.
