Stroke in Patients With Aortic Stenosis: The Simvastatin and Ezetimibe in Aortic Stenosis Study Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— In patients with aortic stenosis not prescribed oral anticoagulation, atrial fibrillation, AVR with concomitant coronary artery bypass grafting, and CHA2DS2-VASc score were the major predictors of stroke. Incident stroke was strongly associated with mortality. Clinical Trial Registration— URL: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Unique identifier: NCT00092677.

Determinants and clinical outcomes of stroke following revascularization among patients with reduced ejection fraction
ConclusionsFurther research appears warranted to minimize the complication of stroke and improve long-term outcomes among patients with reduced EF who underwent such high risk revascularization procedural.

Predictors of intracranial cerebral artery stenosis in patients before cardiac surgery and its impact on perioperative and long-term stroke risk.
CONCLUSION: The occurrence of intracranial artery stenosis in CABG patients cannot be predicted by well-known atherosclerotic risk factors and seems not to be associated with perioperative stroke. PMID: 26652874 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

CT perfusion in predicting the morbidity and prognosis of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy after off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting.
CONCLUSION: The difference in occipital lobe rTTP on CTA perfusion may be a potential predictor of HIE. Furthermore, abnormal CT and rTTP may be used for predicting the prognosis in HIE patients. Three principal components (F1 as a reflection of CBF, F2 as reflection of TTP, F3 as a reflection of MTT) can be used to generally describe perfusion parameters.
