Biomarkers and perfusion - training-induced changes after stroke (BAPTISe): protocol of an observational study accompanying a randomized controlled trial
DiscussionThis exploratory study will be the first to investigate the effects of physical fitness training in patients with ischemic stroke on MRI-based cerebral perfusion, pertinent blood biomarker levels, and functional outcome. The study may have an impact on current patient rehabilitation strategies and reveal important information about the roles of MRI and blood-derived biomarkers in ischemic stroke.Trial registration: NCT01954797.

Ctbrain machine learning predicts stroke thrombolysis result
Conclusions This proof-of-concept study shows that machine learning methods applied to acute stroke CT-scans potentially offers automation, and improved performance in SICH prediction following thrombolysis. Larger-scale cohorts, and incorporation of CT perfusion/angiography data, should be tested with such methods.

Time to Endovascular Reperfusion and Outcome in Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionAmong patients with acute ischemic stroke in routine clinical practice, shorter time to reperfusion was associated with better outcome after endovascular therapy. Standardized workflows and training in endovascular treatment techniques should be promoted nationally to reduce in-hospital delays.

E-046 Length of stay in mechanical thrombectomy, and machine learning improvement of predictive analysis
Conclusions Machine learning methods outperform multivariate logistic regression at the prediction of length of stay. Predictive analysis for patient length of stay could help hospital utilization and allow for more aggressive measures to prevent hospital acquired conditions. Disclosures S. Arndt: None. G. More is less: Effect of ICF-based early progressive mobilization on severe aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage in the NICU
DiscussionWe conclude that the ICF-based early progressive mobilization protocol is an effective and feasible intervention tool. For validity, more mobilization interventions might lead to less pneumonia, duration of mechanical ventilation and length of stay for patients with severe aSAH in the NICU, Moreover, it is necessary to pay attention over potential adverse events (especially line problems), although we did not find serious safety events.
