Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage Is Associated with Mortality after Acute Ischemic Stroke.
CONCLUSION: AF, oral anticoagulant use, brain herniation and male sex increase GI hemorrhage risk, while hyperlipidemia reduces risk. GI hemorrhage itself increases risk for mortality of acute ischemic stroke.
