Cardiovascular Event Rates in Statin-Treated Korean Patients with Cardiovascular Disease: Estimates from a Real-World Population Using Electronic Medical Record Data
ConclusionBy analyzing EMR data representing routine practice in Korea, we found that patients with very high-risk ASCVD were at substantial risk of further cardiovascular events in 3  years. Given the observed risk of recurrent events with suboptimal lipid management by statin, additional treatment to control LDL-C might be necessary to reduce the burden of further cardiovascular events for very high-risk ASCVD patients.

Treatment patterns and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) goal attainment among patients receiving high- or moderate-intensity statins
ConclusionsMajority of ASCVD patients had LDL-C  ≥ 70 mg/dL while on moderate-/high-intensity statins. Despite low LDL-C goal attainment, few patients changed their treatment regimens.

Central Hemodynamics Are Associated With Cardiovascular Disease and Albuminuria in Type 1 Diabetes.
CONCLUSIONS: In type 1 diabetes patients, increased CASP and CPP and decreased CADP and SEVR were independently associated with history of CVD and albuminuria. Furthermore, SEVR predicted mortality and ESRD during follow-up. Future studies are needed to determine whether targeting central hemodynamics improves outcome.
