The association between cardiovascular risk factors and major cardiovascular diseases decreases with increasing frailty levels in geriatric outpatients
CONCLUSION: Frailty and CVRF are both associated with CVD, but the impact of CVRF decreases in the presence of frailty. Association of Race and Major Adverse Cardiac Events (MACE): The Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) Cohort.
Conclusions: No association between race and MACE was identified after adjusting for high cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension, suggesting that comorbidities are major determinants of MACE; medical intervention with focus on lifestyle and health management could ameliorate the development of MACE. 308 Association of Diabetes and Frailty with Mortality in Middle-Aged and Older Europeans
ConclusionFrailty and pre-frailty are independent risk factors for mortality in diabetics. The identification of frailty is important for the risk-stratification and management of middle aged and older patients with diabetes and should be included in the routine assessment of these high-risk individuals.

The relationship between social functioning and subjective memory complaints in older persons: a population ‐based longitudinal cohort study
ConclusionsGood social functioning is associated with less incident SMC and more SMC recovery over a follow‐up period of 1.5 years. Albeit future confirmative studies are needed, we argue for targeting also social functioning when designing multidomain interventions to prevent or slow down cognitive decline. Associations Between Oral Health and Risk of Dementia in a 37‐Year Follow‐Up Study: The Prospective Population Study of Women in Gothenburg
ConclusionIn most of the analyses, lower tooth count was not associated with dementia, although a significant association was found for one of the three examinations. Further research may benefit from more‐direct measures of dental and periodontal disease.
