Prevalence, Risk Factors, and Outcomes of Adult Interstitial Lung Abnormalities: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Populations undergoing imaging for non-ILD indications demonstrate high ILA prevalence. Standardized reporting and follow-up of ILAs is needed, including defining those at greatest risk of progression to ILD.PMID:37534937 | DOI:10.1164/rccm.202302-0271OC

PhosphoDisco: a toolkit for co-regulated phosphorylation module discovery in phosphoproteomic data
Mol Cell Proteomics. 2023 Jun 30:100596. doi: 10.1016/j.mcpro.2023.100596. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTKinases are key players in cancer-relevant pathways and are the targets of many successful precision cancer therapies (1, 2). Phosphoproteomics is a powerful approach to study kinase activity and has been used increasingly for the characterization of tumor samples leading to the identification of novel chemotherapeutic targets and biomarkers (3-10). Finding co-regulated phosphorylation sites which represent potential kinase-substrate sets or members of the same signaling pathway allows us to harness this data to identif...

Circulating Proteome for Pulmonary Nodule Malignancy
CONCLUSIONS: Circulating protein markers can help to differentiate malignant from benign pulmonary nodules. Validation with an independent CT-screening study will be required prior to clinical implementation.PMID:37369027 | DOI:10.1093/jnci/djad122

Support and information needs for patients with non-small cell lung cancer receiving concurrent chemo-radiotherapy treatment with curative intent: Findings from a qualitative study
CONCLUSIONS: The need for disease, treatment and symptom related information and support remains consistent throughout CCRT and beyond. Further information and support for other matters including engaging in regular activities may also be desired. Time allocated within consultations to establish changes in needs or desire for further information may benefit patient and IC experience and QOL.PMID:37146348 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejon.2023.102325
