CD4 < sup > + < /sup > T-cell epitope-based heterologous prime-boost vaccination potentiates anti-tumor immunity and PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy
CONCLUSION: CD4+ T cell epitope-based heterologous prime-boost vaccination elicited potent both tumor-specific TH1 and CTL response, leading to the efficient tumor control. This strategy can also potentiate PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) against cancer.PMID:35580929 | DOI:10.1136/jitc-2021-004022

Trends in the Impact of Medicaid Expansion on the Use of Clinical Preventive Services
CONCLUSIONS: These findings provide evidence that Medicaid expansion may be associated with sustainably increased use of the selected recommended clinical preventive services among the lower-income population and that Medicaid expansion to reduce financial barriers may be an effective strategy to improve population health.PMID:34961626 | DOI:10.1016/j.amepre.2021.11.002

Interventions to decrease unplanned healthcare utilization and improve quality of care in adults with IBD: A systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: The quality of IBD care can be improved with diverse interventions that range from simple to complex. However, these interventions are not universally successful. Clinicians should emulate successful interventions and design new initiatives to narrow gaps in care quality.PMID:34481951 | DOI:10.1016/j.cgh.2021.08.048

Association of influenza vaccine and risk of recurrence in patients undergoing curative surgery for colorectal cancer
CONCLUSION: We believe that this study's findings support the need for further clinical studies to investigate the causal effects of the influenza vaccine on oncological outcomes.PMID:34459323 | DOI:10.1080/0284186X.2021.1967444

MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep. 2021 Apr 2;70(13):461-466. doi: 10.15585/mmwr.mm7013a1.ABSTRACTClinical preventive services play an important role in preventing deaths, and Healthy People 2020 has set national goals for using clinical preventive services to improve population health (1). The impact of the implementation of a clinical decision support system on the quality of healthcare services in a primary care setting
DISCUSSION: The electronic health record with CDS led to significantly improved uptake of immunizations and screening tests, with earlier diagnoses of breast and colon cancer. Evidence of improvement in chronic disease outcomes is still lacking.PMID:33681044 | PMC:PMC7928113 | DOI:10.4103/jfmpc.jfmpc_1728_20
