Synthesis and its characterisation of selenium/silver/chitosan and cellular toxicity against liver carcinoma cells studies
Nat Prod Res. 2023 Sep 14:1-9. doi: 10.1080/14786419.2023.2256023. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTLiver cancer is one of the most common lethal malignancy in the world. To treat liver cancer, new cure options are crucial. The use of natural substances along nanosciences may provide healing with lower toxicity and a smaller amount of side properties. In this research, The three-component selenium-silver-chitosan nanocomposite (Se-Ag-CS NCs) were synthesised with the help of ultrasound in a stepwise manner. The as-synthesised Se-Ag-CS NCs were characterised accordingly by applying powder X-Ray diffraction (PXRD), Fourier tran...

ZBTB34 is a hepatocellular carcinoma-associated protein with a monopartite nuclear localization signal
In conclusion, ZBTB34 is a hepatocellular carcinoma-associated protein with a monopartite NLS. The nuclear import of ZBTB34 is mediated by importin α1, importin α3, importin α4, and importin β1. ZBTB34 performs its biological functions via a putative miR-125b-5p/ZBTB34/(ZBTB10, POLR1B, and AUH) signaling axis in HepG2 cells.PMID:37650557 | DOI:10.18632/aging.204987

< sup > 18 < /sup > F AlF ‑NOTA‑FAPI‑04 PET/CT as a promising tool for imaging fibroblast activation protein in gastrointestinal system cancers: a prospective investigation of comparative analysis with < sup > 18 < /sup > F-FDG
CONCLUSION: 18F-FAPI-04 PET/CT outperforms 18F-FDG PET/CT in delineating the primary gastrointestinal tumors and detecting suspected metastatic lesions due to a higher target-to-background ratio (TBR). Moreover, 18F-FAPI-04 PET/CT could provide valuable guidance for tumor staging, thereby having a potential impact on patient management.PMID:37542659 | DOI:10.1007/s00259-023-06351-9

Micromorphological observation of HLE cells under knockdown of Fascin using LV-SEM
In this study, we attempted to reveal the relationship between Fascin and HCC using HLE, one of the human HCC cell lines. We performed the study with classical immunocytochemistry and recently developed techniques, such as wound-healing assay, spheroid cultivation, and low-vacuum scanning electron microscopy (LV-SEM). Non-Fascin-knockdown (FKD) cell spheroid had a regular spherical appearance with tight cell-cell connections, while FKD cell spheroid had an irregular shape with loose cell-cell connections. Cells of non-FKD spheroid presented fibrous protrusions on the cell surface, contrarily, cells of FKD spheroids showed ...
