Compression and Expansion of Morbidity-Secular Trends Among Cohorts of the Same Age
CONCLUSION: The notion of morbidity being reduced by compression seems less tenable in view of the double development just mentioned. The findings suggest that the observed secular trend toward better heath among the elderly has not persisted among the more recently born cohorts. Associations Between Adherence to Evidence-Based, Stroke Quality Indicators and Outcomes of Acute Reperfusion Therapy
CONCLUSIONS: We demonstrated national marked and sustainable improvement in adherence to door-to-needle time, door-to-puncture time, and successful reperfusion from 2013 to 2017 in Japan in patients with acute ischemic stroke. The Effect of Chronic Disease Management Program on the Risk of Complications in Patients With Hypertension in Korea
CONCLUSION: The results showed that participants of the chronic disease management program were less likely to have hypertension complications compared to non-participants. Cancers, Vol. 14, Pages 2977: Association between Breast Cancer and Second Primary Lung Cancer among the Female Population in Taiwan: A Nationwide Population-Based Cohort Study
Conclusion: Patients with breast cancer had a significantly higher risk of developing second primary lung cancer compared with patients without breast cancer, particularly in younger groups and in those without any comorbidities. The special association may be attributed to some potential risk factors such as genetic susceptibility and long-term exposure to PM2.5, and is supposed to increase public awareness. Further studies are necessary given the fact that inherited genotypes, different subtypes of breast cancer and lung cancer, and other unrecognized etiologies may play vital roles in both cancers’ development.

Decreasing rates of cost-related medication non-adherence by age advancement among American generational cohorts 2004-2014: a longitudinal study
Conclusion
The paradox of decreasing CRN rates, independent of disease burden, income and insurance status, suggests populations’ CRN behaviours change as Americans age, bearing implications to social policy.

Prevalence and associated relating factors in patients with hereditary retinal dystrophy: a nationwide population-based study in Taiwan
CONCLUSIONS: 74% of the diagnosed HRD are retinitis pigmentosa. Population-based data suggested an increased incidence of cataract in younger patients, whereas older HRD patients are more susceptible to develop CME.
