Application Value of Early Warning Nursing Model with "Evidence-based Concept" as the Core in Peri-anesthesia Period for Gastric Cancer
CONCLUSION: Under the evidence-based early warning nursing model, nurses accurately assess patients' conditions during the peri-anesthesia period, leading to improved care plans that reduce complications and postoperative pain while enhancing patient satisfaction.PMID:37678864

Utilization of deep neuromuscular blockade combined with reduced abdominal pressure in laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer: An academic perspective
CONCLUSION: Deep NMB combined with reduced pneumoperitoneum pressure can decrease the VAS score of shoulder pain and inflammatory reaction, without hindering the surgical vision and increasing adverse PACU-associated respiratory events, and can thus shorten the hospitalization time and treatment cost for patient.PMID:37555115 | PMC:PMC10405126 | DOI:10.4240/wjgs.v15.i7.1405

Effects of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on postoperative pain in patients undergoing gastric and esophageal ESD surgery: a study protocol for a prospective randomized controlled trial
This study is a prospective, randomized controlled trail, which is single-blinded and in single center. A total of 120 patients undergoing elective gastric and esophageal ESD surgery in Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, will be involved in this study. These individuals will be stratified according to the type of ESD surgery (i.e. gastric or esophageal procedure) and be randomly divided into two groups. L14, PC6, ST36 and ST37 will be stimulated at the TEAS treatment group, and the control group will receive simulation at four sham acupoints. The primary outcome is post-EDS VAS score at the time of en...

Influences of Etomidate Combined with Propofol on Cognitive Function, Inflammation and Immunity in Patients Undergoing Gastric Cancer Surgery
This study examined how etomidate combined with propofol affected cognitive function, inflammation, and immunity in patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery. 182 gastric cancer patients treated in our hospital were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups, namely group A (anesthetized using etomidate) and group B (anesthetized using etomidate combined with propofol). Then the cognitive function, inflammation and immunity indicators were determined in the two groups. Compared with group A, group B exhibited shorter operation duration and hospital stay and smaller bleeding volume (p<0.01). At 3 d after the operatio...

Application of Dexmedetomidine in Surgical Anesthesia for Gastric Cancer and Its Effects on IL-1 β, IL-6, TNF-α and CRP
This study was performed to analyze the application of dexmedetomidine (Dex) in anesthesia for gastric cancer surgery and its effect on serum inflammatory factors in patients. In this regard, a total of 78 patients with gastric cancer who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2020 to September 2023 and received general intravenous anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups (n=39 in each group). The conventional group was given the same volume of 0.9% sodium chloride solution 10min before induction of anesthesia, and the Dex group was given Dex1μg/kg intravenous pump 10min before induction of anesthesia. The...

Cytotoxic and molecular evaluation of spilanthol obtained from < em > Acmella oleracea < /em > (L.) R. K. Jansen (jambu) in human gastric cancer cells
Nat Prod Res. 2023 Jun 10:1-6. doi: 10.1080/14786419.2023.2222220. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAcmella oleracea (L.) is a plant popularly known as jambu in the Brazilian Amazon. This species has several biological properties, such as anaesthetic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, among others. However, there is limited information on its anticancer activity. In this context, this study aims to evaluate the effects of the hydroethanolic extract of jambu and its active compound (spilanthol) on gastric cancer cells. Hydroethanolic jambu inflorescence extract was obtained, and spilanthol was isolated by HPLC. Bio...

A case of rare metachronous four primary carcinoma
CONCLUSION: The treatment of multiple primary cancers is different from tumor recurrence. Targeted treatment for different tumors can achieve good therapeutic results. Cancer patients must be followed up regularly. Timely treatment after discovering new tumors is the key to a good prognosis.PMID:36959342 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-023-04692-4
