Regional and socioeconomic predictors of perceived ability to access Coronavirus testing in the United States: results from a nationwide online COVID-19 survey
CONCLUSIONS: Sex, geographic location, income, and insurance status were associated with perceived access to COVID-19 testing; interventions aimed at improving either access or awareness of measures taken to improve access are warranted. These findings from the pandemic's early months shed light on the importance of disaggregating perceived and true access to screening during such crises.PMID:33691088 | PMC:PMC7937327 | DOI:10.1016/j.annepidem.2021.03.001

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) stay-at-home order ’s unequal effects on trauma volume by insurance status in Southern California
The rapid spread of coronavirus disease 2019 in the United States led to a variety of mandates intended to decrease population movement and “flatten the curve.” However, there is evidence some are not able to stay-at-home due to certain disadvantages, thus remaining exposed to both coronavirus disease 2019 and trauma. Prognostic impact of atrial fibrillation in patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection
The prognostic impact of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) infection has not been well evaluated. We estimated the prognostic implications of AF in SARS-CoV-2 confirmed patients. The OpenData4Covid19 (https://hira-covid19.net) project is a global research collaboration on coronavirus disease (COVID-19), hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service of Korea. This dataset comprises all COVID-19-tested patients and their individual histories of medical service use from January 1, 2017 to May 15...
