‘Primary care networks are the bedrock of any integrated care system’

GP practices and pharmacies will be able to share patients’ data more easily thanks to a new standard, NHS Digital has said.
The standard will be incorporated into the clinical systems that pharmacies and practices use from next year, allowing community pharmacists to share information digitally with GP practices.

How our practice saved 1,300 hours of GP time a year by improving correspondence management
A myriad of letters flow into GP practices every day, consuming a large part of the team’s time.
Dr Andrew Venning, a GP partner at Cricketfield Surgery in Devon, worked with his team to create a system that would help his practice save time on reviewing correspondence.
