The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) replaces current value-based performance reporting and establishes a new Quality Payment Program (QPP). QPP essentially creates two pathways forward: the Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Alternative Payment Models (APMs).
