Transcript Exception
Hello everyone, I'm transferring this Fall 2020 and deciding between two FL universities. I went to Nursing school in the Philippines (3 years) but didn't finish, moved here in 2010, joined the military, got out in 2017, and my major now is Molecular & Cell Bio. UNF asked for my foreign transcripts so I had them evaluated, and they accepted them. Unfortunately, this lowered my gpa. I'm coming from a community college and my transfer gpa is 3.9 but with the foreign transcript, it went down... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Help, I'm a little lost
Hi! I'm a 3rd-year B.S Psychology student in the Philippines and I need some advice... I was hoping to maybe apply for a medical school in the U.S or in Canada and as I was researching and asking some of the admissions staff, I was told that non-US/Canadian residents or non-permanent resident students are not eligible to apply for medical schools there. So, I decided to maybe I should apply for universities in the US or in Canada for me to take my missing pre-requisites for 2 years and... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What do I click under race/ethnicity if I ’m southeast asian?
Hi all! I started my app for a career-changer today and wanted to know what I should put as a Filipino. People have told me to just put Asian, just Pacific Islander, and also to check both boxes. I noticed some schools consider Filipinos URMs along with viets and Hmongs. And, if that’s case for this school, should I click asian AND Pacific Islander? I just want to make it clear what most of you all think? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

ECE Evaluation - US Equivalent DDS
Hello, I just received my ECE course-by-course evaluation today. A majority of other doctors who have graduated from the same country (Philippines) and completed ECE had a "U.S. Equivalent Summary: Bachelor's in dental medicine" or even "completed 4/5 years at a dental college". My question is: has anyone received the same US equivalent summary as I have, below? (Doctor of dental surgery degree). What does mean? Am I at an advantage when submitting application compared to those with the... ECE Evaluation - US Equivalent DDS (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Question about Race/Ethnicity on Med School Application
Hi everyone, I had a quick question about race/ethnicity classification on med school applications. I was born in the United States, but my parents and ancestors are from the Philippines and Spain. I lived in the Philippines for a few years as well. My parents speak some Spanish and mostly Tagalog, but my grandparents speak Spanish fluently. I have a ton of Spanish heritage in my lineage, as my ancestors originally came from Spain to the Philippines not too long ago. I have done genetic... Are there any US residents going to UST here? Question regarding financial aid
Oh hay guys... Southern California resident here. I got accepted into UST as well. Already paid the reservation fee, but I'm running late for my physicals/labs since I am still currently in the US. My friends told me it was ok for me to be late for my physicals/labs as long as I do it before the 25th of May. I'm having problems with my financial aid application which is the reason for my delay in going to the Philippines. I'm using the Federal Stafford Loan for US residents. It seems...
