Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation Certification Scholarships
The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation offers thirteen (13) Certification Scholarships each year.   These scholarships are for new and renewal NBCHPN certification and are determined in June and December.  In each round, seven awards will be given, with preference for one at each level of certification ~ Advanced Practice, Generalist Nurse, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Administrator, Pediatric Registered Nurse, and the new Perinatal Loss Care. Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation Certification Research Grant
The purpose of the HPNF Certification Research Grant is to seek the impact of certification within the research topic that pertains to palliative care.  As long as there is a mechanism of measuring the impact of certified versus non-certified hospice and palliative nurses, the research can be on any relevant topic.  Something as simple as the investigator determining the certification status of any nurse participants would suffice as a certification component worthy of grant approval.
