Associations Between Gut Microbiome and Risk of Age-Related Neurodegenerative Disease
It is becoming clear that there are correlations between the composition of the gut microbiome and risk of suffering neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. The gut microbiome changes with age, the populations of inflammatory microbes growing in size, while microbes that create beneficial metabolites are diminished in number. How Patient Activation Made It Possible to Thrive with Kidney Disease
By DAVE WHITE It had been 10 years since I’d seen a doctor when I arrived at the Emergency Room at George Washington University Hospital in October 2009. The Answer to Provider Data Management May Already be in Your Tech Stack
The following is a guest article by Karra Hendrix, Product Marketing at Verifiable It’s no secret that healthcare is one of the slowest industries to evolve to modern digital practices, with most large healthcare organizations still living in a world of paper and filing cabinets. This affects not only how patient data is handled, but also provider data. As healthcare organizations look for new ways to modernize their operations (and reduce costs), provider data is a good place to focus. How is provider data shared in your organization? Even when digital tools are utilized, it’s not uncommon for provider network teams t...
