How are my EC's so far?
I haven't begun doing much for my EC's, but during my high school years I've done a few things here and there. They include:
-Graduated from RCM grade 10 piano (2014), RCM history 2 (2013), RCM basic rudiments (2009) (I think year 3) with honours, RCM harmony 2 (2011). Also took 2 years of guitar lessons.
-Earned a Black Belt from Martial Arts in 2011, Tong Moo Do
-Worked as a waiter for over 500 hours at an all you can eat
-Volunteered at a fitness centre for 42 hours (helping at front...

2016 - 2017 University at Buffalo (SUNY) Waitlist Thread

CARS issue, any advice?

I am a pre-medical student who has written the MCAT twice. I scored a 510 in my first exam (130,123***,129,128), and I was devastated by my CARS score. Going into the exam, I was struggling with verbal reasoning, and to be honest, I didn't allot enough time towards practice and building important foundational CARS skills. Things I Learn From My Patients
Tonight I learned yet another helpful life lesson from one of my patients. If you're on the street corner selling coke and you see the cops coming to bust you don't eat all your coke. Having been taught this valuable lesson I will now know better than to do this and wind up going to the ER in handcuffs, seizing uncontrollably, aspirating my vomit and doing all of this with a white powder moustache looking like and ad for "Got Coke?"
