Lifestyle changes after cancer treatment in patients and their partners: a qualitative study
ConclusionsOncologists and hospitals that provide lifestyle advice should provide cancer- and person-specific lifestyle advice, should offer this advice repeatedly into survivorship, and include the partner, as they are dedicated to improving lifestyle as well.Implication for cancer survivorsStaying healthy after cancer is important to both patients and their partners, and both experience their own facilitators and barriers to achieving this. Randomized controlled trial of an app for cancer pain management
ConclusionsThe primary obstacle encountered in the development of applications for managing cancer-related discomfort lies in the sensitive nature of the subject matter, potentially leading to patient apprehension regarding application usage for pain management. Consequently, meticulous attention to user preferences and anticipations is imperative, necessitating the creation of an application characterized by user-friendliness and medical efficacy.Trial registrationChinese Clinical Trials Registry ChiCTR1800016066;http://www.chictr.org.cn/showproj.aspx?proj=27153. Cancer-related cognitive impairment and wellbeing in patients with newly diagnosed aggressive lymphoma compared to population norms and healthy controls: an exploratory study
ConclusionFor many patients with aggressive lymphoma, impaired neuropsychological test performance and impact of perceived impairments on quality-of-life precede chemotherapy and are sustained after chemotherapy. Findings support the need for large-scale longitudinal studies with this population to better understand targets for interventions to address cognitive impairments. Trends in the prevalence and risk factors for peripherally inserted central catheter-related complications in cancer patients from 2016 to 2022: a multicenter study
ConclusionThe composition ratios of PICC-related complications in cancer patients in China have changed in recent years. Chemotherapy drug administration was a significant risk factor accelerating the occurrence of complications. Maintenance factors had the maximum weight on the COX model, followed by patient factors. It is suggested that patients with high-risk factors be closely monitored and proper maintenance be performed to prevent and delay the occurrence of PICC-related complications. Effectiveness of dance movement therapy and dance movement interventions on cancer patients ’ health-related outcomes: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionBoth DMT and DMIs had promising  effects on several health outcomes, but results were inconsistent, and the evidence was weak. The reviewed studies’ low evidence quality and small sample sizes affected the findings’ robustness and reliability. Large-scale, high-quality randomized controlled trials with sufficient sample size s, and clear and veracious DMT and DMI protocols and data are required to provide more credible research evidence and influence practice.
