Health-related quality of life by gout severity in women and men with gout in primary care: results from a questionnaire study in Western Sweden
CONCLUSION: Gout severity, defined as the number of flares during the past year, was associated with significant reductions in HRQoL.PMID:37755229 | DOI:10.1080/03009742.2023.2240596 (Source: Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology)

Validity of the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire in people with knee pain: a Rasch analysis
CONCLUSION: The 1-10 rating scale used in the Danish B-IPQ targeting knee pain is suboptimal, while a 0-2 scale improves the psychometric properties of the scale. The B-IPQ does not present unidimensionality and the use of a sum score is therefore not recommended when assessing IP. The B-IPQ may not cover the extent of IP in elderly people with knee pain.PMID:37751331 | DOI:10.1080/03009742.2023.2256089 (Source: Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology)

Treatment with a tissue-selective oestrogen complex does not affect disease pathology but reduces pre-BI cells in lupus-prone mice
CONCLUSION: TSEC does not aggravate a mouse model of lupus, when given in doses that protect against postmenopausal lupus-associated bone loss. This indicates that further investigations into TSEC as a treatment for osteoporosis or vasomotor symptoms in postmenopausal women with SLE are warranted.PMID:37722827 | DOI:10.1080/03009742.2023.2251753 (Source: Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology)
