Analysis of the feelings of patients with HIV/AIDS and HCV in contact with health professionals. Assessment based on cases of stigmatisation and discrimination
CONCLUSIONS: Stigmatisation and discrimination by medical staff against patients were, according to the respondents, linked to fear of infection but confirmation of this relationship would require further research. In the course of these cases, patients experienced pejorative verbal evaluation, impediment or denial of health services, which could have specific health consequences. These types of attitudes had a negative impact on their emotional state.PMID:38452318 | DOI:10.12740/PP/OnlineFirst/169912 (Source: Psychiatria Polska)

Temperament and attachment dimensions as predictors for impairments of personality functioning according to DSM-5
CONCLUSIONS: The impairments in personality functioning included in DSM-5 Criterion A are largely explained by two sets of variables: the more enduring and innate temperament and the attachment acquired through early interactions. Such a distinction is important from a clinical perspective, in which effective interactions can target those properties that can be modified and take into account those that are difficult or impossible to modify.PMID:38444276 | DOI:10.12740/PP/OnlineFirst/168747 (Source: Psychiatria Polska)

The role of selected polymorphisms in regulation of gene CD38 expression and their effect on the clinical picture of autism spectrum disorders - preliminary study
CONCLUSIONS: The obtained results show that a significant correlation with the severity of autism spectrum disorder traits is mainly observed in the carriers of wild variants of the studied polymorphisms, in which the related increase in the expression level of gene CD38 is also observed.PMID:38402445 | DOI:10.12740/PP/OnlineFirst/166125 (Source: Psychiatria Polska)
