Operation of Mental Health Centres (CZP) in Poland during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic

The pilot CZPs quickly and easily adapted their response methods to the changing or new needs/new circumstances. As part of the activities in the field of psychiatric care reforms in Poland, it seems appropriate, at the present stage, to use all observatio...

After synthesizing LSD, psychedelic substances aroused intense but short-term interest among mental health specialists at the beginning of the second half of the 20th century. In the prel...

Stronger psychological reaction of patients in depression and remission to the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland compared to the non-clinical group
CONCLUSIONS: The results of the survey show that patients with an ongoing episode of depression and remission subjectively felt worse than the non-clinical group in the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland. At the same time, previously healthy people also reported unusual intensification of anxiety and depressive symptoms. For this reason it is important to continue the comprehensive treatment of people with depressive disorders and to simultaneously prevent mental disorders in the non-clinical population.PMID:38043071 | DOI:10.12740/PP/147260 (Source: Psychiatria Polska)

Models of activity in the narratives of people with schizophrenia
CONCLUSIONS: The results of analysis of schizophrenia patients' narratives indicate a decreased sense of agency related to experiencing states of disorder (subjectively defined). This motivational deficit also concerns remission periods after the active phase of the illness, though to a lesser extent. Analysis of motivational models reveals differences of descriptions of own activity, indicating alterations in auto-narration and narrative identity under the influence of a psychotic crisis in a retrospective approach. These changes pertain to deep layers hidden in the relationship between the form of the narrative and its c...

Isolated anomalies in the structure of this brain region often do not cause any clinical symptoms. However, more and more attention is paid in research on the ...
