Occupational factors and markers of ovarian reserve and response among women at a fertility centre
Conclusions
Women working non-daytime shifts and those with physically demanding jobs had fewer mature oocytes retrieved after controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. Our results provide insight into possible mechanisms linking these occupational exposures with decreased fecundity. (Source: Occupational and Environmental Medicine)

Occupational allergy to fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster) in laboratory workers
Conclusions
We were able to demonstrate, for the first time, a clear exposure–response relationship between fruit fly exposure and specific sensitisation. Facilities housing fruit flies should carefully consider methods to reduce exposure levels in the workplace. (Source: Occupational and Environmental Medicine)

Cancer incidence in cohorts of workers in the rubber manufacturing industry first employed since 1975 in the UK and Sweden
Conclusions
No significantly increased risk of cancer incidence was observed in the combined cohort of rubber workers first employed since 1975. Continued surveillance of the present cohorts is required to confirm absence of long-term risk and confirmatory findings from other cohorts would be important. Shift work, job strain and changes in the body mass index among women: a prospective study
Conclusions
Job strain and rotating night shift work have independent contributions to weight gain. Reducing job strain and supporting night shift workers are both important intervention goals. (Source: Occupational and Environmental Medicine)

Heat strain, volume depletion and kidney function in California agricultural workers
Discussion
Heat strain and piece rate work are associated with incident AKI after a single shift of agricultural work, though gender differences exist. Modifications to payment structures may help prevent AKI. (Source: Occupational and Environmental Medicine)
