Nondysraphic intramedullary spinal cord lipoma of the child: report of 3 cases
CONCLUSION: NDSCL is a rare entity which often manifests with progressive pain and neurological deficits. In our experience, partial resection with or without dural plasty and laminoplasty has been associated with satisfactory postoperative outcomes and no recurrence of symptoms. We should be attentive to the risk of postoperative spinal deformity in these young patients.PMID:37482183 | DOI:10.1016/j.neuchi.2023.101473 (Source: Neuro-Chirurgie)

Juvenile Xanthogranuloma as a differential diagnosis for sellar and supra sellar lesions in child: case report and review of literature
Neurochirurgie. 2023 Jul 21:101472. doi: 10.1016/j.neuchi.2023.101472. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTJuvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) is a rare type of non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Its systemic form affects 4% of patients. Lesions in the Central Nervous System (CNS) occur in 2% of systemic cases. Sellar JXG should be one of the differential diagnoses for sellar lesions in young. This is a 15-year-old patient with nonspecific headache, progressive visual loss and magnetic resonance imaging showing sellar lesion with suprasselar extension. The patient underwent microsurgery by pterional craniotomy with partial resection ...
