A Randomized Controlled Trial Assessing the Impact of Opioid-Specific Patient Counseling on Opioid Consumption and Disposal After Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery
Conclusions
Opioid-specific counseling did not affect postdischarge consumption but increased the disposal rate of unused opioid tablets 6 weeks postoperatively. Opioid-specific counseling could minimize the potential for opioid misuse by reducing the number of unused opioid tablets in patients’ possession after surgery. Racial Distribution and Characterization of Pelvic Organ Prolapse in a Hospital-Based Subspecialty Clinic
Objectives
Prior literature has suggested a decreased prevalence of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) in Black women. We sought to describe POP rates by race, investigate whether specific types of prolapse differ based on race, and investigate the role of uterine weight and fibroids on POP.
Methods
We conducted a retrospective cohort study of new patients seen between April 2017 and April 2019 at a tertiary urogynecology clinic. Variables collected included POP quantification, race, age, smoking history, medical history, gravity, parity, vaginal delivery, hysterectomy, fibroids, and uterine weight. χ2 tests were used...

Comparison of 100 U With 200 U of Intradetrusor OnabotulinumToxinA for Nonneurogenic Urgency Incontinence
Conclusions
A higher dose of onabotulinumtoxinA may not directly result in improved outcomes, but rather baseline disease severity may be a more important prediction of outcomes. (Source: Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery)

A Comparison of Perioperative Outcomes, Readmission, and Reoperation for Sacrospinous Ligament Fixation, Uterosacral Ligament Suspension, and Minimally Invasive Sacrocolpopexy
Conclusions
Overall perioperative safety is comparable in 3 common vaginal apical suspension routes. Readmission and reoperation remain rare after operative colpopexy regardless of route. (Source: Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery)

Fibroids and Urinary Symptoms Study (FUSS)
Conclusions
Women presenting for evaluation and treatment of fibroids report high rates of pelvic floor symptoms, particularly urinary frequency and pelvic pressure. However, uterine size and fibroid size are not associated with pelvic floor symptom bother. (Source: Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery)
