ToulGaitViz: a tool for the systematic description of lower limb clearance during the swing phase of hemiparetic gait after stroke. A cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: The ToulGaitViz could be systematically used in clinical practice to extract relevant kinematic data from the origin of shortening default and the weight of compensations.CLINICAL REHABILITATION IMPACT: This tool allows better understanding of the mechanisms of action of treatments to better link them to the subjects' needs.PMID:37869760 | DOI:10.23736/S1973-9087.23.07979-0 (Source: European Journal of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)

Foam roller-based self-induced myofascial therapy in patients with hemophilic knee arthropathy: a multicenter, single-blind, randomized clinical study
CONCLUSIONS: Self-induced myofascial therapy can be an effective complementary technique in the treatment of patients with hemophilic arthropathy. Self-induced myofascial therapy can reduce the frequency of knee hemarthrosis in patients with hemophilia. This technique can improve pain intensity and range of motion in patients with hemophilic knee arthropathy.CLINICAL REHABILITATION IMPACT: Hemophilic knee arthropathy is characterized by chronic pain, decreased range of motion, and periarticular muscle atrophy. Foam roller-based self-induced myofascial therapy can reduce the frequency of hemarthrosis and pain intensity and ...

Prevalence and risks factors of caregiving-related low back pain among caregivers of stroke survivors: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: About half of caregivers of stroke survivors may experience LBP. Therefore, this should be considered during rehabilitation.PMID:37851375 | DOI:10.23736/S1973-9087.23.07970-4 (Source: European Journal of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)

Efficacy of non-immersive virtual reality-based telerehabilitation on postural stability in Parkinson's disease: a multicenter randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Our results showed that non-immersive virtual reality-based telerehabilitation is feasible, improves static and dynamic balance, and is a reasonably valuable alternative for reducing postural instability in people with Parkinson's disease.CLINICAL REHABILITATION IMPACT: Non-immersive virtual reality-based telerehabilitation is an effective and well-tolerated modality of rehabilitation which may help to improve access and scale up rehabilitation services as suggested by the World Health Organization's Rehabilitation 2030 agenda.PMID:37847247 | DOI:10.23736/S1973-9087.23.07954-6 (Source: European Journal of Phys...
