Effect of sodium ascorbate on the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets to bleached enamel using universal dental adhesive
Conclusion: Bleaching with 40% hydrogen peroxide significantly decreased the SBS of orthodonticbrackets, and 10% sodium ascorbate could not reverse the adverse effect of bleaching on SBS.Delaying the bonding procedure by 3 weeks using Universal adhesive considerably decreasedthe adverse effect of bleaching on SBS and increased the SBS to a clinically acceptable level fororthodontic treatment.Key Words: Antioxidant, dental bonding, orthodontic bracket, shear strength, tooth bleaching (Source: Dental Research Journal)

The effect of different methods of cleansing temporary cement (with and without eugenol) on the final bond strength of implant ‑supported zirconia copings after final cementation: An in vitro study
Conclusion: Sandblasting combined with immersion in an ultrasonic bath containing isopropylalcohol resulted in statistically similar values to the values of cementation with resin cement fromthe beginning. However, cleaning the inside of the copings only by sandblasting method reducedthe values of the final retention force in comparison to cement with permanent resin cementfrom the beginning. Keywords: Cleaning methods, permanently cemented implant, temporary cement removal, tensile bond force, zirconia (Source: Dental Research Journal)

Evaluation of pain response in children to the SoftClamp ™ as an alternative to the metal rubber dam clamp: A randomized clinical trial
Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the pain response of children to both the clamps. Goodrubber dam application practices in children through the use of behavior guidance and a proper topicalanesthesia technique may play a far more important role regardless of the clamp used. But the SoftClamp ™,with its more child friendly appearance could be a viable alternative to the metal clamp in children.Key Words: Child, pain, rubber dams (Source: Dental Research Journal)

A comparative evaluation of light cure calcium silicate and resin ‑modified glass ionomer as indirect pulp capping agent in primary molars: A randomized clinical trial
Conclusion: Both TheraCal LC and Vitrebond show acceptable clinical and radiographic resultswhen used in primary molars as indirect pulp treatment agents. Both the liners are equivalent toeach other in terms of feasibility and cost ‑effectiveness but TheraCal LC can be preferred due tobetter handling and avoiding the manipulation step thereby reducing treatment time.Key Words: Deciduous teeth, dental cavity, indirect pulp treatment, pulp capping, reparativedentin, resin ‑modified glass ionomers, TheraCal LC (Source: Dental Research Journal)

Conservative treatment of a unicystic ameloblastoma by marsupialization with a favorable response: A case report and review of the literature
Ameloblastoma is a benign tumor of odontogenic epithelium which is slow growing, locally invasive, expansive that may result with asymmetries of the face. Conservative treatment of odontogenictumors with marsupialization is not common but can be done successfully in those with cysticpattern. The aim of this case and literature review is to propose marsupialization as an initialprocedure for its treatment. We have presented a case of an ameloblastoma involving 56 ‑year‑oldmale patient. Orthopantomography and computed tomography showed the lesion extendedbetween the right molar region and left molar region of mandible wit...
