Correlation between total deceleration area in CTG records and cord blood pH in pregnancies with IUGR
ConclusionsCord blood pH significantly correlates with total deceleration area and other fetal monitoring characteristics in neonates with growth restriction. Future studies using real-time, machine-learning based techniques of fetal heart rate monitoring, may provide population specific threshold values that will support bedside clinical decision making and perhaps achieve better outcomes. Hypermethylation and down-regulation of vitamin D receptor (VDR) as contributing factors for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): a case –control study from Kashmir, North India
ConclusionOur study, being exclusive from Kashmir, one of the foremost specified that VDR confirms anomalous methylation configuration in PCOS with subsequent downregulation in the gene expression i.e., there is an inverse correlation among VDR gene expression (downregulated) and methylation status (hyper-methylated) from the conclusion of our PCOS case-versus-control study.Graphical abstract (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

A clinical predictive model for live birth in women of advanced age undergoing PGT cycles
ConclusionIn older women, the chance of delivering after repeated cycles is higher in those with at least one top-quality unaffected embryo in their first preimplantation genetic testing cycle. Additional preimplantation genetic testing cycles after three in carriers of an autosomal dominant disorder and six in those with an autosomal recessive disorder should be considered prudently. Peritoneal mesometrial resection with lymphadenectomy following prior hysterectomy in intermediate/high-risk endometrial cancer: feasibility and safety
ConclusionOur data suggest that robotic PMMR can be performed following prior hysterectomy when previously unknown risk factors arise, albeit with a moderate increase in morbidity. Moreover, despite a relevant reduction of adjuvant radiotherapy, follow-up data suggest an excellent locoregional control even without adjuvant radiotherapy. The effectiveness of integrated online health-coaching on physical activity and excessive gestational weight gain: a prospective randomized-controlled trial
ConclusionsWe assume that the personalized online intervention supports women in increasing or at least maintaining their level of physical activity during the course of pregnancy. Additionally, it reduces the rate of excessive weight gain. (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

Second-versus first-born twin: comparison of short- and long-term outcomes
ConclusionOther than birthweight differences, the birth order of dichorionic twins is not associated with adverse neonatal health indices, nor does it predict excess risk for morbidity during childhood. (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

Expectant management versus systemic methotrexate in the management of persistent pregnancy of unknown location, a seven-year retrospective analysis
ConclusionExpectant management is an effective and safe alternative to single-dose methotrexate for persistent PUL with beta-hCG levels below the discrimination zone. (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

Application of transabdominal ultrasound- and laparoscopy-guided percutaneous microwave ablation for treating uterine fibroids: 24-month follow-up outcomes
ConclusionTransabdominal ultrasound- and laparoscopy-guided PMWA can be utilized to safely enhance the ablation rate while minimizing ablation time and avoiding harm to adjacent organs and the endometrium. This technique is applicable for treating uterine fibroids of different sizes and at varying locations.Trial registration numberChiCTR-IPR-17011910, and date of trial registration: 08/07/2017.
