Comparative study of postpartum sexual function: Second-degree tears versus episiotomy outcomes
ConclusionDyspareunia negatively affects various aspects of sexual function. When comparing episiotomy and second-degree tears, their impacts on postpartum sexual function were similar. However, episiotomy delays the resumption of sexual activity. Sociodemographic factors significantly influence postpartum sexual health. These findings highlight the importance of individualised interventions and support for new mothers during the postpartum period to address potential sexual health concerns. Associations between gestational weight gain and weight development of the offspring: Differences depending on maternal pre-pregnancy BMI
ConclusionWomen with o/o might increase their offspring ’s risk for higher weight at birth and in early childhood. In n/u women, GWG might be the more influential factor. Women should strive for normal weight before conception and should be more attentive to GWG. (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis and pregnancy: a mini-review
AbstractLymphangioleiomyomatosis(LAM) is a slow progressive, rare cystic lung disease in women of reproductive age, associated with infiltration of the lung by atypical smooth muscle like cells, leading to the cystic destruction of the lung parenchyma. As LAM exclusively affects women of childbearing age, it can arise or exacerbate during pregnancy. Many patients with LAM are discouraged from pregnancy, although there is not much objective evidence effect on fertility. Patients diagnosed with LAM during pregnancy experience worse outcomes, so the safety of pregnancy is a vexing problem. What was worse, treatment strategies...

Face presentation at term: incidence, risk factors and influence on maternal and neonatal outcomes
ConclusionsFace presentation was rare. Early diagnosis is difficult, and thus easily neglected. High parity and amniotic fluid index  >  18 cm are risk factors for face presentation. An early diagnosis and proper management of face presentation could lead to good maternal and neonatal outcomes. (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

Efficacy of intra-ovarian injection of autologous platelet-rich plasma in women with poor responders: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionIntra-ovarian injection of PRP improved ovarian reserve markers with increasing AFC, serum level of AMH and day 3 E2 and decreasing serum level of day 3 FSH. In addition, this treatment improved ART outcomes through the increasing of number total oocytes, number of MII oocytes, number of cleavage-stage embryos and number of day 5 embryos in POR women.ImplicationsAlthough treatment of POR women remains challenging, the use of intra-ovarian injection of autologous PRP in POR patients prior to IVF/ICSI cycles is a sign of new hope for increasing the success of IVF/ICSI. However, further well-organized, randomized co...
