Predicting the Outcome of Pediatric Oral Food Challenges for Determining Tolerance Development
CONCLUSIONS: Serum total IgE and food-specific IgE combined with age showed trends toward passing OFCs for confirming tolerance development. The constructed model may be used by clinicians as a practical guide for minimizing the risks of OFCs and a timely reintroduction for children with food allergies.PMID:38528385 | PMC:PMC10973639 | DOI:10.4168/aair.2024.16.2.179 (Source: Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Research)

Validity and Reliability of the Korean Versions of the Food Allergy Quality of Life Questionnaire-Child Form and Teenager Form
Allergy Asthma Immunol Res. 2024 Mar;16(2):202-210. doi: 10.4168/aair.2024.16.2.202.ABSTRACTWe aimed to assess the validity and reliability of the Korean versions of the Food Allergy Quality of Life Questionnaire-Child Form (K-FAQLQ-CF) and the Food Allergy Quality of Life Questionnaire-Teenager Form (K-FAQLQ-TF). Patients aged 8-17 years with food allergy (FA) were enrolled and completed the Korean versions of the questionnaires, including the K-FAQLQ-CF, the Food Allergy Independent Measure-Child Form (K-FAIM-CF), and the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory™ (K-PedsQL™ 4.0) for children and the K-FAQLQ-TF, the Food A...

Postpartum Maternal Anxiety Affects the Development of Food Allergy Through Dietary and Gut Microbial Diversity During Early Infancy
CONCLUSIONS: Postpartum maternal anxiety, mediated by reduced DD and gut microbial diversity, may be a risk factor for the development of FA in infants during the first 2 years of life.PMID:38528383 | PMC:PMC10973635 | DOI:10.4168/aair.2024.16.2.154 (Source: Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Research)
