AbstractDesidustat (Oxemia™), a hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor, is a promising new oral alternative to injectable erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) for the treatment of anaemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
